    If you're using Windows 7 you have to disable the 'User Control' or you won't be able to copy the files. How to disable it is explained here:

    Great mod! Just one question. Why Poland doesn't have a family tree in empires?

    After the death of Sigismund II Augustus, who died childless, the Kings of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth were elected so there is no need for a family tree.

    Currently the heir will be whoever is the best general (which is the only alternative to hereditary rule). Though I'm unsure how often the son was the previous king was not chosen as the next heir.

    Nice update, I like how you add the red bricks to the campaign mode. Thanks for fixing some of the graphics. Some of them were really annoying.
    I did find a problem with recruiting fire throwers—it’s still impossible to recruit the fire throwers as well as the mercenary ones. Some experimentation with the export descr buildings.txt file shows a potential problem with hidden resource Asia. If you look at the export descr buildings.txt file it says this:
    recruit_pool "Greek Firethrower" 1 0.42 2 1 requires factions { byzantium, } and hidden_resource asia and hidden_resource baltic and hidden_resource misc

    This says that it must have the asia, Baltic and misc hidden resources to be able to recruit them. But as you will see the Constantinople Province does not included the Asia one.

    By looking at the export descr regions.txt it looks like this:
    Constantinople_Province
    Constantinople
    byzantium
    Greek_Rebels
    198 23 43
    grain, dyes, silk, atlantic, explorers_guild, crusade, horde_target, jihad, slaves, balkan, misc, west, charm

    The hidden resources are in bold. However by looking closely there is no asia in the text at all. This tells me the computer will never allow Greek fire throwers to ever be recruitable because the Constantinople province does not have the asia hidden resource in it. I have looked over the other entire descr buildings.txt file in 970,1080,1200, and in the new age etc. and all have the same problem. I believe this is a simple problem to fix. As an experiment I changed the line in the descr buildings.txt file in the new age to read:
    recruit_pool "Greek Firethrower" 1 0.42 2 1 requires factions { byzantium, }
    By doing this I removed the hidden resources asia (and others) and was able to recruit the fire throwers from the Constantinople_Province! The Mercenary Fire throwers also have the same problem:
    recruit_pool "Mercenary Greek Firethrower" 1 0.34 2 5 requires factions { northern_european, eastern_european, southern_european, middle_eastern, asian, } and hidden_resource asia and hidden_resource balkan and hidden_resource misc

    Can you look into this please? I really want to be able to recruit some fire throwers!

    hi mate,
    i installed the 2.1 patch but the game dont work anymore, it copy the bat files but it doesnt load the game i installed the true conquest bat and the game still dont work, what am i doing wrong ?

    so many problems

    first crash on starting camping in empires

    second. i tested some custom battles. why the hell i got native american soldiers on the shugnate faction? and whats those mystical ladies on the horse that unit dosent even working its shows ghost horses.

    apart from that the few samurai units looks amazing. but plz help me fix those

    i do have stainless steel 6.1 too. maybe its what causes it?

    Great Mod btw, I love finally getting some hard asian, particularly chinese factions to play as. So in the 1220 asia campaign, isnt china supposed to have junks not cogs? And while the mod seems to mostly work, i can not start the 1331 asia campaign at all, it copies files, goes to the loading screen with the painted background, flickers then winds up back to desktop. The afro, euro, asia map is the best of the bunch imho, and while i love the idea of the world map, in practice its a lil scrunched. Theres a map flaw in the 1230 afro, euro, india campaign for chagatai, theres no road across the river, so, you always have to send your armies from the tibetan regions, through the great horde lands. I also love alot of the new troop types you put into the mod. Like, the viking factions in 970, got a much appreciated mega unit roster overhaul.

    Will we ever see the Normans as a faction, just before the invasion of england? Or if not, why does not the english faction under william the conqueror in the 1080 campaign have any norman knights, or breton units?

    I am curious why is the cordoba caliphate considered easy, when they broke up and were defeated not long after? Wasnt the islamic faction in iberia fractured into many smaller kingdoms?

    Didn't know where to post this but here it goes. There is no way for me to download the latest version 2.3.3 in one part. It would take me 13 hours. This depositfiles is more then horrible for downloading. So far I have somehow downloaded mods from it but I really can not this time and besides that I do not want to anymore, half a day for a 1.4 GB download when it should take about 45 minutes? So if you could upload it on anywhere, but really anywhere else I would thank you. Didn't know if I am the only one with this problem but I really doubt it.

    Do i extract this directly into the medieval folder? Because it asks me if i want to replace data.

    Does that mean that this mod is incompatible with other mods?
