    Default Marriage question

A quick browsing of the stickies and first few pages didn't reveal this, so I have a question.

I'm playing as Poland and I'm 20 turns in and none of my male generals have married yet. This seems exceptionally long, and I'm starting to wonder if my campaign is bugged.

I'm currently running SS 6.1 with the add-ons that come with the 6.1 patch (I forget the name, but I'm using all of them).

Any help would be appreciated - if it is a fixable big, I'm nervous to continue playing until I get it fixed.

My dashing princes can't be that horrid!

Not even your faction heir is married? He should be able to marry a foreign princes for sure... just use your diplomat to talk to one and propose a marriage alliance.
Its possible that you adopted to many generals and your faction is now "fully staffed" for the size of your empire but thats the only thing I can think of atm.

I've had terrible luck for suitor's of my princess/adopted sons, I just have my heir, my 2nd son, and my princess - all unmarried (of course I could marry the diplo way but I haven't even had "we found a local girl, want to merry her?" messages).

It might just be an isolated fluke, but it struck me as odd and I figured I'd ask.

I took silesia and east/west pommerania so I have 6 provinces. I'm likely going to stop expanding as I'm getting spread thin and work on my econ a bit. Having 3 generals to govern 6 provinces and push the borders doesn't help much either.

I'm going to patch to 6.2 and start a new game and see if that does anything.

Quick word of warning: 6.2 is harder then 6.1 ( 6.2 medium > 6.1 medium)
Other than that I use it as well and can recommand it

There is a fixed family member:regions ratio that if you are at or over, you will not get any marriage or adoption offers. Try conquering some provinces and you will start getting marriages and adoptions again.

Try getting that princess married off.
It's my experience that as long as you have unmarried princesses, your male family members rarely gets offered any marriages.

Wait, you can actually marry brothers and sisters, etc? I never evern thought about that. I can treat my faction like Egytpian royalty keeping it all in the family.

Looking at the triggers, the Inbred traits are completely random (which is one reason why I chop them out of my traits file). I don't think there's even a Condition that can be used to check for consanguinity in the parents' marriage. Not that I'm an expert, mind you, but right now I have Conditions leaking out through my ears as a consequence of GED/AL's Scripting 101 class.

Edit: Nope, nothing I can see in the docudemon under Events or Conditions that would seem to apply.

Maybe its just me, but I'm pretty sure that I can marry cousins but not siblings.

Yup, won't allow marriages within the same sub-branch of the family tree (shared parents). Hadn't noticed that before because I'd never tried it.

Looks like the game is smart enough to say "No, you may NOT marry your brother/sister.....pervert!".

That'd be a negative. Once you marry a princess to another faction, that's it.
