Shadows to Textures?

Hey guys , ive learnt from scratch how to texture a unit i understand the gloss files to a certain lvl but i cant figure out how to use the burn tool for shadows or just to darken the texture , can any body run through what they do to add shadows to say a unit that has alreay been painted in the diffuse , thx in advance ...

I'm not shure, but there is some Photoshop plug-in to do those tricks, if you can explain me full detail 4 what you wanna do, maybe i could help you

If your using Photoshop, you use the Burn Tool and select Shadows, this will give any shadowing to your unit!! i use it all the time its great!!
