Change religion?

Hey,

I'm trying to change the United States Religion to Catholic. Can anyone show me how or point me to a tutorial? Thanks!

I'm trying to change the official religion, not just the settlement

Sorry but even if you change that (in WORLD/FACTIONS), you have to adjust every region separately, I think. It will be interesting to feedback the results.

Well so far I just changed the one under factions array with interesting results. On the diplomacy screen next to my name it has the catholic cross and says catholicism when you hover over it, however, when I hover over great britain, it still says 'same religion: +10" It seems as though some aspects recognize us as catholic, and others dont. Ill see what else i can do...

Ok well no luck, what else do you think I should be editing?

Also, when I contstruct churches, they are protestant.

Did you change the regions religion as I suggested you in first place?

You mean when you go to population and then religion and change catholic to 1 and protestant to 0?

In REGION_FACTORS/RELIGION_BREAKDOWN enter 0 to religions that you don't want and 1 for this you want. Instead of puting 1 in one religion you can put percentages to more than one (0,7 and 0,3 in two different religions, for example).
