No Upkeep in options menu

I started playing Diadochi today, and i noticed that there was an option to disable troop upkeep. i checked the option, and started a campaign, but after looking at the financial tab, i was still taking financial losses in the army upkeep category. Is there anyway to fix this?

It might be that the feature is faulty or non working. Nobody ever had time to really test it, since there were far more important things.

thats not what I was asking about, its something i would like to try, but if it dosent work, then thats fine

Oh sorry I thought you wanted that option working to play without unkeep.

Well, you can always edit export_descr_units.txt and put unkeep costs to 0..

yes, that is something i have done in the past, reduced the upkeep of units that i would use as Guard units in towns and citys, usually the weakest units anyway.
