    Icon5 Early/Late, year date?

Does anyone know what year the game decides when the Early era ends and the Late era begins?
I was thinking maybe 1783 would be the start of the Late era since that's where Ch4. of the RTI begins?

I think all inventions in the GC are basing on technologies you discover. Late and early periode are for the quckbattles only and is set very random.

This is the theory I presented to Toontotalwar for his mods and is the one we are currently using in regards to adjusting the recruitment for his mods

    Thanks for the info everyone!

Early battles seem pretty much limited to what you start the game with, unit and technology wise. Late battles are the opposite, they have almost all technologies and units available.

True for what CA put into the early battles. But there is no need to follow the restiction for modding. You should be able to put in nearly all units and all technologies, you like to have and set the time of change from early to late to every date you like. If you make a Napoleon mod, you should be able to set early to all pre-french revolution and late to all after french revolution. Or you go with the war of Independance. your choice, that's why i said it's random.

Yes indeed. It's fairly simple to alter the technologies used in each period too. For Custom Battles anyway.
