The Worlds Worst Tourists?

I know what you're thinking but shockingly the British are not the worst. That title actually goes to the French which surprised even me sure not the best hosts but the worst tourists? I personally thought it would be the Brits but apparently we come 2nd after Japan for being the best tourists.

However, for all you ambitious Brits who are a tad sad that we have not come first again in one of these polls do not fear. In Europe the title once again belongs to the British ftw!! I can only blame the football hooligans but is there something else perhaps? Are we(well i am)quite bad at languages and thus we make the worst guests in Europe?

So are the results what everyone expected? have you had personal experience with rude tourists?

French really are the worst tourists. but not for their behaviours. They just tend to burn themselves in the sun and disregard it. They just don't know how to tour.

Americans are one of the best ?
I recall them when they visit my city, you can hear them half-way across town, they are so loud.
However I will not disagree on the french.
They are quite rude.

The Japanese are the best. I always see them walking around in Gothenburg with the huge cameras and pointy fingers, and always with a smile on their face. They are even happy to see the gypsies sitting on the bridge outside the big shopping mall, begging.

The Brits are one of the worst, in my experience. Always butt-drunk, noisy and no eye-candy what so ever. And somehow it seems impossible for them to get a tan

I too have noticed French tourists to give off a kind of arrogance and they tend to brush off everyone, even the locals (Or at least it seems that way).

I am also surprised British tourists aren't further down the list. If you ever go to Spain or certain Greek islands, you pass through these 'British Tourist Towns' which include lots of pubs, live football, chip-shops, Union Jack swimming trunks, big fat men with bull-dog tattoos and a lot of drunks. Basically, trying to be as stereotypically British as they can possibly be. Then again, I suppose its pretty good for the local economy and they are, on the whole, relatively harmless.

Germans are, by far, the worst dressed tourists, and you will find them in every corner of Europe (Usually certain nationalities travel to certain places eg, British tourists usually go to Spain or Greece). But other then that, I enjoy meeting Germans on holiday..

They might not speak english but they are so friendly and charming that you just disregard that flaw.

Yes but its not the local police who come in its the RMP with their dogs. I know a story about when 1 battalion of paras came in and the royal marines where going home but due to bad weather (Falklands island garrison) they got stuck there and because there is nothing else to do they just drank and drank till trouble brewed up. The RMP came with their dogs but because they didnt want to get hurt they just let the dogs run in the pub and then they threw the dogs out the window.

Japanese tourists always make me laugh and are generally friendly. They never see anything good though- just all the blatantly obvious tourist spots

Brits do have the worst behaviour I've seen but alcohol makes their girls really inviting so I can't have bad feelings for them, as a 21-year old male. You just have to be careful and don't pick a really wasted one, because the next day they claim they were raped since they don't remember anything.

Since British girls aren't very good on the eye, drunk Swedish tourists are always much better, and usually easier. Though Dutch girls seem to be the easiest, dunno.

Haven't met any Dutch girls unfortunately. I prefer Italians and Scandinavians but the British are the easiset I've encountered and it's natural after drinking all this booze.

And Ferrets nobody said there are no rapes, these things happen in crowded places full of drunk people and not only by horny Meditareaneans....still there are some girls that party in the night and cry rape next morning.
Happened to a guy I know. He made out (not even had sex) with a girl and then she hooked up with somebody else and in the morning thought she had been raped by him, since he was the last guy she remembered. Thank God, one of her friends had the clarity to clear the mess up. And let's not get started on the rape-insurance scums.
I, on principle, prefer half-drunk girls, less chance to have them vomit in your mouth.

Until they get drunk, which usually doesn't take too long. After that, they're unbearable.

From my experience as a host (used to be a bartender):
American Jewish Youth groups are on the top of the list. Girls take the cake. Absolutely, utterly annoying and loudest experience.
