Hi everyone, I just want to say first that this mod is great, I really enjoy it!
I have a Q about the soundtrack, track (E_Strat_Map_5), I know this is from Rachmaninov's Vespers but can anybody tell me which one?
thanks!

Ah, Rachmaninov?? Sounds older than that. I'd also like to know what exactly it is.
Well it's much older, its Russian Orthodox liturgical music. This particular track is from the Vespers service. Rachmaninov arranged an a capella called the all night vigil which includes this track, among others. I may be wrong though - it could be simply a recording of liturgical music but it sounds to me like it's an interpretation of Rachmaninov.

In Serbia, 90% of people listen to turbo-folk "music". If you are part of the 10% that listen to real music, including metal, put this in your signature
Obama, your time is up. We're taking our country back from you liberal commies.

exactly this one, thx
thanks! I apologize, I should not have said Russian; Church Slavonic is used many other places, although I didn't know Serbia is one of them.
Thanks again!
Thank you so much for posting this video! I did an epic search in order to find the source. It is absolutely the most beautiful music I have ever heard, and to me personally, even if it's not exactly Byzantine in origin, it is also the essence of Byzantium and what the Eastern Romans were fighting to defend.
It's always better to create a new thread instead of using one that is three years old.
