Questoin
I have medieval 2 total war on steam.
I was trying to modify units in the unit text.
If i make any changes when i go to do any battle with any unit the game crashes.
I get past the loading screen then i can see my units for half of a second then the game crashes.
Any ideas

Re: Questoin
It would help to know a few things:
A) Have you unpacked your game and set up a mod folder?
B) Do you run Windows Vista?
C) Which files did you edit specifically(if possible show the edits)?
D) If you set up a log file, what does it say? If not, you should set up a log file.
Make sure you view Crashes and how to fix them to see if any of those criteria fit your situation.

Re: Questoin
300 is quite a long range, that's more than Vanilla Trebuchets. I don't think the range being to long is your problem though.
A mod folder allows you to make changes to the game without impacting the base files. Changes are much more receptive in mod folders generally speaking. A few mod folder options that are pre-made are listed in the first section of this thread.
If that's the only change you made it shouldn't error, but like I said it's best to do it with a mod folder to be sure.
