The model for the Swiss should work fine for you I think, as for the Marines, they are part of the DLC content and are encrypted, therefore the model is pretty much unusable at this time.
The Swiss model IS "crypted" too ;
So The skeleton of the DLC's is encryped !? that is ,
I can assure you that Even renaming them bring CTD as soon as they are called
I'm not entirely certain the Swiss unit is encrypted because I've seen some mods,including one of my own making, in which the model was used for late era Royal Marines for England. Have you checked your db files to make sure you haven't made any errors?
What is that your trying to do with the Swiss model?
The US marines are deffinetly encrypted, as you stated even giving them new names causes a crash, it's a lost cause trying to make a new unit out of the DLC.
I just wanted to play the unit and as soon as I was loading the unit I had CTD ...so I finally Remade the Unit using the Texture and adapting it to another skeleton .
The Swiss unit is part of the DLC such as the American legion
Now What kind of encryption is that ??? even renaming the meshes , leads to CTD ; I guess they are using a hexadecimal code to lock the mesh
I have Checked the db many times ;;;;; I just did the same thing as I did with the Marines ; So I just guess all the rest of the DLC are Crypted (2 Hussard etc... ((this one will be hard to do also)) .

I'm sorry, it appears you are correct. I was getting it confused with the Swedish unit that came with the patch, not the DLC.

The units that came with the patch function just like any other unit and are completely moddable. So if you see a unit you want to mod and it's on that list provided by the link, then your out of luck![]()

How does Steam Re activate the units ?
Well, in my experiments using a "tool" (send PM to know more details) i learned that steam it's only a kind of launch emulator. using this "tool" i activate e units EUoW but only for sp, mp does not work, in your steam account yo have registred that yo pay the DLC so steam tell's the game to run in "fullmod" and if you not purchased the DLC steam tell's the game to run in "semi-fullmod" so that way you can play it sp,mp but not using the DLC (elite units of the west) so y found a kind of code 10500 i don't know if this code has to do something whit the lock-unlock of the units.
It's real, the units are there insaide de patch.pack it only we have to look more for finally can mod this units.
