    Default CTD !

Hello, i'm experiencing the problem that many of you may share, I recently completed the installation process, and I started my game. Then I wen't into the main campaign menu and clicked on scotland, then on england, but the game made a CTD. Right at the same time as i clicked on england. I've been searching for a way to solve this problem, but so far I don't know what to do. It makes this wonderful game hard to play. Then I looked in the FAQ, and i found a line that said, if you're running vista the game won't start until you delete the file map.rwm in the C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\DLV_ext\data\world\maps\base directory. I wen't to this directory but found no file of the name? So what am I supposed to do?

    Thank you for your help

I'm told it's not possible to solve this issue. Just choose which faction you want to play, then only click that one on the faction selection screen to start playing DLV.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Thanks, but is there no way to change it so you at least could click on 3-4 factions before crash?

Sort of. It would require big rewrite of DLV code and even then it might crash sometimes or not work at all (hardcoded limit inside m2tw code have in mind that even Total Conversions of M2TW like TATW do not alter m2tw code despite changing a lot).
I have seen SS 6.2 sort of functioning without crashing after 2 or 3 factions are selected but even it too might crash after more then that.
