Enable brig/sloop trade ability?

I've been trying to puzzle this out, but have had no luck.

What I'd like to do is enable the brig and sloop to have the ability to trade like Indiamen, Galleons and Fluyts. Any thoughts?

It is the third value from the end in unit_stats_naval. The last one is hull strenght, before that is maneuverability and the one for that is the one you need to change.

I think it is:
00 00 00 -> no flagship, no trade
00 01 00 -> admiral's flagship
00 00 01 -> trade ability

That's a start, but unfortunetly the game still does not recognize them as trade ships... hmmm.

What exactly are you looking for? If you change the value to 00 00 01 and you put your ship on a trade post it will spawn a trade route. Unfortunately the unitcard does not show the trade icon (I tried it with a Xebec and a 5th rate admiral - they both had a trade route when I placed them on a trade post). .
