Where do I have to go on my system to locate what video driver and version I have? My card is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP.
Where do I have to go on my system to locate what video driver and version I have? My card is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP.
go to display properties, settings, advanced, then hit the "adapter" tab, properties, then the "driver" tab
If you uninstall your current drivers, and then install updated ones, will you be able to recover your old ones in case you are dissastisfied? In the driver tab, there is an update button. Is pressing this the best and easiest way to update to the newest ATI drivers appropriate to my card? Sorry, I am a nervous novice when it comes to changing video drivers.
The "Update Driver" option in the Properties tab only updates MS video drivers.
Go to ATI's website. Download the latest drivers for your card. SAVE them to a folder or your desktop. Uninstall the old driver, restart, install the new one.

@pent- sorry, settling into job and I just replaced my mobo, which put me out of action for a few days. replaced my P4S800D-E with an IC7-G. Which I just realized is what you're running too, lol

@Squeaky-COOL. New jobs are good. I need another one.
What IC7G did you get? Max2 or 3? I have one of each. The max2 will do 276Mhz. The "3" will do 295.

I got the MAX II
Didn't really feel like looking around for the MAX IIII i saw the Max 2 at a store and just got it. the P4S800D-E's northbridge started really acting up. I got the IC7G more for stability, don't really plan on OCing it that much.
