No sound at all

The mod works fine, except for the sound, have tried three times now with a clean install each time, but alas the sound is still missing, had BC1 and that had sound, any one got any ideas, the game is pretty awesome as it stands, but if i cant get the sound working im afraid i will have to delete it sadly.

Can you tell which language version your original M2TW is, and which option for language you have selected during installation?

If you have an UK / US version of the game, you just take the default settings, otherwise you need to select non-english option from the installer.

Sorry about not replying to you, thanks for the help, but i have tried another couple of times now, i have a uk version, and i still cant get sound, i have also tried the other option to see if it did any good, but sadly no sound for me

Ok do the basics. Load up vanilla M2TW and try the sounds there first. Do you have any other mods installed?

Cheers for the help, but i have tried all that, and still no sound, the campaign works fine, but with no sound i am sadly going to delete it, no problems with any other game, and that lord of the rings mod worked fine, i have no mods now, but still cant get any sound haha, never had any problems with the first version of BC

Can you please verify the following ...

Open the folder ../broken_crescent/data/sounds/ and tell me which files / folders are in there.

There should be

audio.dat
audio.idx
event.dat
event.idx

and a folder music.

Furthermore, the size of the event.dat should be around 6 MB.

Thats the problem then, only the music folder is there, none of then other 4 are there, now that is weird is it not ?, maybe i should try and download the mod from a different place ?

Ok tried d/l it from the other links, but still nothing in the sound file but the music folder, none of audio.dat , audio.idx ,event.dat , event.idx. Weird thing is med total war 2 will work with music when i click on it, thats well weird dont you think ?

You don't get the point. Those other files should have been generated by the game engine, there is no need for them to be present.

Original M2TW has its own files, which are not related to BC.

Can you please make a screenshot of your M2TW folder and your broken_crescent/data folder and upload both for me.
