Looks good.
"Command and Conquer 4 will introduce class-based gameplay, mobile bases and persistent player progression through every game mode. "
What the?
Probably like in the zero hour expansion for generals.
damn thinking about it makes me want a generals 2, generals was so much better than the regular c&c games.
Yea it was not a C&C game. Good though.
And Tiberian Dawn is still the best one.![]()
I personally preferred Red Alert 2, but Generals was my favorite as far as gameplay was concerned.
S'looking good. Just gotta open your mind to change.

That press release EA Linked to yesterday? It's up now, which makes Command & Conquer 4 that little bit more real. Not only that, but everything mentioned in that online survey was also real. This will be the final chapter of the Tiberium series and will feature "persistent player progression and [an] all-in-one mobile base" when it launches in 2010 for PC.
Command & Conquer 4 will also feature a co-op mode for the two campaigns, as well as a 5-vs-5 objective-based multiplayer mode, allowing for a new "social real time strategy experience." Aren't those called LAN parties? A new episode of Battlecast PrimeTime, which will be available on July 24, will give more information on the game, and the exclusive reveal of the first cinematic trailer will be shown on GameTrailers TV on July 23.
Command & Conquer 4
The year is 2062 and humanity is at the brink of extinction. With only six years left until the mysterious crystalline structure Tiberium renders the earth entirely uninhabitable, the two opposing factions – Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod – inevitably find themselves in desperation for the same cause: to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind. The unthinkable becomes reality and Nod's enigmatic leader Kane takes off for GDI headquarters. What is Kane planning in the heart of his enemies' base? In addition to the two campaigns on the epic battles of GDI and Nod, which players will get to conquer alone or in a cooperative mode, Command & Conquer 4 also features a new 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode, promoting teamwork and cooperation and delivering a social real-time-strategy experience never seen before in a Command & Conquer game.
Developer: EA Los Angeles
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Genre: Strategy
Release Date:TBA 2010 (AU)

One of the few to still have his first avatar in place here on TWC.
I sometimes miss this place you know. This is where my journey began.
I hope it's better than the third...

Under the stern but loving patronage of Nihil.
Was still better than RA3... so no high hopes for this one.
Joe Kucan must be in. Otherwise noooooo
well the screenshots show me something that looks more like the predecessor of Tiberium Sun than Command & Conquer 3.
And Kane wanting to work together with GDI sounds like a good move. I really hate how they made both factions stereotypes of good and evil while it was not like this at all in Tiberium Dawn.
They are too fond of stereotypes anyways, same goes on in the red alert series.
At the moment they just produce these games way too fast and dont give them nearly enough attention.
yer the 3rd one didn't have the C&C feel to ithope the 4th does. please EA focus on making th game rather than advertising it.
Red alert 3 fails hard.. I don't see this one much different.
So what about that alien race in c&c3?
I agree we need a new c&c generals
Actually They had an article about it on gamespot (I think) and it sounds pretty good.

The class based combat sounds more interesting when you understand what it is.
There one Offense, One defensive, and one Support class.
They all have different abilities and units.
But they said theyre not making it like an FPS where each one can only do one thing, all of them have some offensive/defensive and support capabilities and they can each take out their enemies if theyre skilled enough
Theyre also making an experience based unlock system, You earn it doing skirmishes and the campaign and such and unlock certain units and abilities for each class, Allegedly there will be a lot more units and abilities for this game .
The mobile base is what they call a Crawler, Apparantly each class has a different version that does different things, but its basically a offensive unit that somehow works as a mobile base.
Theyre bringing the Co-op campaigns here too.
They really look like theyre trying to make the series go out with a big bang.
whats most interesting to me is that while Tiberium wars and the earlier series still had a trace of the campiness and tongue in cheek humour of red alert, Theyre going to try and make this game a lot more serious and emotional.
They also said the tiberium series is not quite dead after this, anyone of course who knows about the tiberium series of FPS (renegade i believe) will guess theyre talking about that.
unless theyre merging tiberium into another series, which i doubt (and hope wont happen)
