camera elevation and low level camera speed?

I'm looking into the possibilities open to produce a low level, 'commanders eye' battle mod.

Does anyone know if the camera height can be adjusted to low level?

Also, it would be handy if low level camera speed could be increased as in previous TW games.

My instinct is that these are both hard coded but I would appreciate any help here.
