    Default Cap on morale bonuses?

Is there a cap on how high the bonuses certain units get on morale? I ask because I was playing BI as the WRE. I abandoned all of Iberia except for Tarraco and destroyed every building in the rest before abandoning them. I got attacked by the WRE rebels with a full stack of peasants with some limaneti with only a general, two peasants, and one unit of archers. I won, though, due on no small part by my general. What surprised me, though, was that my peasants stayed forever. My general had some nice morale traits so I'm thinking that helped. After the battle he got some nice bonuses too like Roman Hero (+3 morale) and Brave (+2). Does morale increase indefinitely? And if it does, does it increase fighting ability and killing power that much more too? Or just does it prevent any sort of routing?

i dont think it increases the damage they do, that what unit veterancy does. it probably jut makes your units less likely to run when under the command of that general.
