    Default Recruit vs. Reinforce???

Hey all, I got a simple question that I hope can be easily resolved... As stated in the title, what is the difference between using a general to recruit vs. going to a city and recruiting there and moving the unit to the general... are there really any bonus to movement?

And lastly... when recruiting from the general what do the numbers mean: ie 1/3...or 1/5... etc. what does the 1st number mean and the second one as well.

    Thatnks all...

I think the recruit from general is supposed to just be easier for the player. Less trying to remember why you built so and so and whos army did you intend him to go in. However I do not use that feature at all. I prefer to know exactly where each of my units are coming from etc. The numbers could be available build slots remaining (presuming your general is nearest to a 3 or 5 units recruiting city.

e.g. 1/5 will mean it willl take 5 turns to make the unit though 3/5 means it will 2 turns to build and have 1 left, im preety sure thats wat it means

Yes basically recruiting from citys is faster.

As in its faster to recruit troops in a city/fort then move them to the army than to recruit from the army and wait.

Yes 1/3 means it will take three turns for that one stack to 'show up' Im assuming that includes travel time.

Now what I want to know is whey you replenish your troops where do they come from? I know you plunk down some tax revenues and the troops ranks swell

3/5 means the recruiting time and the time to travel combined.

OK so if I'm understanding properly 3/5 means that 3 out of 5 turns have passed and you have another 2 to wait before your troops arrive?

I always thought it was something to do with unit slots but I've learned something new

I think what it means that if you order a stack of troops it will take them 3 turns to create and another two to reach your current position. So 5 turns till they reach you.
