I am not sure if this is already on here or not as to the fact that I am new to these parts. I have a problem with the SPQR mod and i would like to figure out how to solve it. I have RTW installed and i have the 1.5v patch for the game and I have the SPQR mod installed. When i go to use the mod i cannot play as SPQR why is this?

You shouldn't be able to play as the faction SPQR, only as the red Romans. Other than this, does the mod work fine?

AH I see now i was trying to get spqr faction I haven't looked at the other factions. wow I am stupid, thank you for telling me this i am sure it works fine, but i will look to make sure. Thank you kindly sir.

I have just taken a looksey at the game and i can play as noone which upsets me because i really want to play the SPQR mod. I like the sound of more towns because it is way more challenging as well as loyalty.

Given the current conditions is there any way to get it working correctly?

Did you play the tutorial in your original RTW game your using?

As far as my understanding goes, you need to play the tutorial trough. Then you install SPQR over it, and only then it works.

Has something to do with the original game files changing I suppose.

No need to play. Just go to the help threads and you shall find your answer there. Hint

you can just change one false to true or vice versa and there is the tutorial

i changed the line that says first tiem play and switched that to false. Is there something i missed if so i would gladly apppreciate being told what to switch over. i would REALLY REALLY love to play this mod as it would be the first mod i have ever played for a game i have. but all i am seeing so far is that it is more trouble than what i am getting out of it.

My system is XP

i hear vista is bad beacuse it isn't working right

which is why i haven't bought a new computer yet. My drivers and everything are brand new as well so i know i meet the requirements for the mod.

If you can' t play as any faction some thing went wrong with your installation. Did you try to reinstall? Uninstall the game again and delete the rtw folder by hand, install the game patch it with 1.3 and 1.5 and reinstall SPQR. Make sure you install it to the right directory.
