a possible graphics problem
i have had mtw for a while now but since i got a laptop i haven't used it. i recently installed it and it runs beautifully, even better then on my old pc. the only problem is, the gpahics lag horribly in custom battles. i can't understand this, the campaign runs smoothly, even is fine, but just the battles. i have a 1.73 ghz processor, which i know is slightly under the recommended but i just figure with everything else working fine (better than fine) i might be able to help the graphics run a little better. the graphics are all on the lowest settings, and i have gotten 5gb of ram for it, i thought it might be fixable by changing it to widescreen but nothing has changed. i was just wondering if anybody knew any tips or had any suggestions i could try as i love MTW2 and since my pc broke i have missed it so much.
thanks in advance

Re: a possible graphics problem
Battles always use more resources the campaign. In battle you have keep track of every soldier in every unit, every siege piece, and all the grass, trees, walls, sky, weather, etc.

Yeah, a new computer or fix the old one. The cpu is a serious bottleneck. You haven't said what your video card is but it can also be a bottleneck no matter how much ram you have. All the ram in the world can't overcome the defeciencies in those two.
