You realise that at no point does he advocate mass murder - he expressly states that he would sink the boats with nobody in them to send a message to the traffickers. And that's a very good strategy. If europe impounds and destroys every vessel found to be smuggling illegal immigrants, that would do a fair bit to stem the flow.


On a more general note, it annoys - sometimes angers - me that it is left to the racist bigots and loonies to suggest any sort of policies that are truly tough on immigration. Particularly the illegal kind. Its too bloody obvious that illegal immigration is a significant problem in europe, including the UK, for it to be ignored and is (i believe) one of the main reasons the bnp gets its votes. If the main political parties grew some balls and fixed the problem, then people like Griffin would have a much harder time getting elected to a position of any prominance.

IDK about Britian but here illegals have a tendency to murder, rape, steal, sell drugs, take jobs from citizens, run drugs, and best of all they recieve taxpayer money from welfare and free healthcare. Add in the fact that they lack any interest in assimalating (free English language learning centers are nearly always empty). There goes your insanely unrealistic first "idea". Second idea, just about everyone doesn't care, I certainly don't, I have better things to spend money on, and if I feel charitable I'll donate to a local charity. The people of these third world hellholes will eventually die off if left be and that will be the end of the issue. Of course I would prefer them to evolve and advance to the position of a first world country but this is a pipedream at best. Sorry but it is simply Darwinism my friend and since you're an athiest I figured you would understand the concept of survival of the fittest.

NO he doesn't. He says give them life rafts and sink their boats leaving them in the middle of the sea and nowhere to go back but libya.

Yeah I accidentally lumped Bush in with some other conservatives who were calling for more, "interesting" methods of preventing and deporting immigrants. Bush himself wasn't to bad on it.
