The Tudors coming to a close

So, Season 4 is to be the last season of the Tudors, as Henry is no longer killing divorcing wives. I would have wanted it to continue into Edward, Mary, and Elizabeth, but alas.

I didn't love the show for any particular accuracy that it had (since it didn't really) but it was enjoyable, and the wominz were hot.

The casting was excellent except for one fatal flaw which is why I won't watch the show. They should never have cast Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He looks and acts nothing how I would imagine Henry VIII to be. He doesn't even have auburn hair or the right physical build. Henry was a robust man that was very physically fit for the first ten years of his reign until he grew fat. I don't feel he captures Henry's emotional atmosphere well either.

The best thing I ever read about Henry was The Autobiography of Henry VIII - With Notes from his fool Will Somers by Margaret George.

They expained why they cast Johnny on youtube somewhere. Made sense to me anyway.

I've only seen the first season.

And Meyers is terrible as Henry. He is neither big, nor ginger, nor any good as an actor...

Mr. Starkey will not miss it.

only two seasons are but i agree that a majority of the characters do not look like there real counter parts and they dont seem to age. Other then that it is entertaining to watch.
