    Default Tribute

Comparing to previous TW games it is preety easy to receive a good tribute from your enemy. I surely don't complain... but my enemy evil factions payed me once 3000 and 5000 and they even kept paying me regular tributes from 750 to 1200 per turns for 10 to 15 turns approximately.
To achieve this, at first I annihilated a few of their stacks and/or conquered a province. Next, my skillful diplomat offers cease fire, trade rights and demands tribute, often balanced, but mostly demanding.

AI usually yields to my demands after being beaten hard, but sometimes it behaves irrationally. For example, I defeated two stacks of Mordor trying to invade Dale (I play Dwarves and am allied to Dale). One of my diplomats was exploring Mordor at that time and I started negotiations. I didn't really need cease fire, as I was not threatened by Mordor, neither was Mordor by me, because of the great distance. All I wanted was to trade but I asked for money by the way - there was nothing to lose. I was surprised because they accepted (5000 once).

I think that's a by-product of lusteds ai. In his ai the enemy is more likely to vassal/surrender and pay huge amounts of gold/provinces just to stay alive. However sometimes they even go to war with you and you bring a massive army into their territories a turn later you could get like 15k gold in tribute and a cease fire just cause they realised their mistake. Not exactly the perfect ai but a lot better than vanilla.

Correct me if I'm wrong but tatw ai is based on lusted ai yes?

The Harad faction leader was out for a stroll virtually unescorted near Cair Andros, which I had a full stack parked in. I took the stack across the river, captured the silly Harad king, and ransomed him off for just over 12,000. Good money, if you can get it. I much prefer that to agreeing to trade with dirty, evil orcs.

Lusted AI was made for his own mod: lands to conquer. It was then used by nearly every SS player cause the ai was better in lusteds mod than in SS. I'm not sure if the SS creator later on added lusteds ai into his mod but I remember that good vs evil showed that the AI used lusteds AI.
