Error when trying to unlock all factions.

Hello. I have recently purchased Rome: Total War and I really like it. But the thing that would make it better is if I could unlock all of the factions. Now I know how to do this (change the stuff in descr_strat) but when I attempt to do this I get this error when I attempt to save the changes:

So if someone could help me that would be great.

Do you have the admin rights to change that file? Is the file read-only?

I have no clue what you're talking about. The file is the descr_strat one and it is not read-only. You can change stuff in it if that's what ou mean.

Is that your computer or your parents' computer? How much do you know about Vista?

It's my computer, there is one user; me. I know a good amount about Vista. Does that help?

Then the only two things to keep you from saveing your file would be it is read-only or for some you reason you don't have admin rights.

I would say right-click the file, check the read-only box to make sure it isn't checked and check the secutrity tab to make sure you do have rights to that file. I have used Vista enough to have it double-cross me more than once. And I am the only one using my computer. You're not alone.
