does anyone have this problem?

my screen blacks out whenever im playing medieval 2 total war in realtime battles. I think it has something to do with my graphics card so i put alll the settings as low as possible but the problem still persists. I dont know the specs of my computer nor do i know how to check. Im not very good at computers so if theres any help it would be much appreciated.

Click the windows button (bottom left) and click on run
Type: dxdiag
Press return

On the new window press "Save all information"
Save on your desktop as txt file.
Attach the file to your next post.

Your Radeon 9100 (onboard) card is not build to handle this kind of gaming. And your drivers are from 2004.
You might have some luck with updating them.

With that cpu, it's a wonder you get that far. Directx9 looks about two years old. Needs a serious update. If you're trying to run more than minimum settings, you'll get balck screens.

You need a new computer.

1. Your cpu is underpowered except maybe lowest settings and you're not fighting battles with it.
2. Your video card is an AGP slot. Not only are your drivers four years old, but the AGP slot is a bottleneck. I had one when I got Medieval2 and it was not good.
3. You need more ram. 1.5 gb for games isn't much especially if you want all your goodies running in the background.
4. Why haven't you run Windows Update? XP has service pack 3.
5. directx need updating even manually throygh Microsoft's web site. Same for .Net framework.
6. Your sound card is four years old and in need of updating.

What you do with the info is up to you but if you want to play this game, you have some work to do.
Use Google or Yahoo or even Microsoft's Bing to search for all this stuff. It's available.
