Has this happened to anyone?

I've noticed a few times while playing the SPQR mod that when an ally of mine is attacked I recieve a message saying that this faction is now at war, will you offer help? Then when I click accept in order to help my ally our alliance breaks, whats up with that? Is this an error with all SPQR mods?

That's a basic rule from vanilla. You can't keep alliance with both sides of faction whom were at war to each other.

but I'm pretty sure its happened even when only one faction is an ally

were they about to start a fight and one of your armies was in the battle deployment zone?

^No, I wasn't at war with anyone and my armies weren't anywhere near by borders.

One more question. I've noticed that near some cities there are small shields, like a natural resource, that says "allows training of imitation legions", whats up with that? Is this only a benefit to the romans?

If the shield is red, it is a territory where you cane recruit one of the named and numbered legions, if it is black it is an imitation legion and i dont know if the imitations are only for rome, but what they are for is for when you get to cities with those shields, you can recruit legions if you have obtained the reforms
