Odd Thing

I saw something during an AI campaign the other day I had never seen before in RTW. I was watching Northern Italy, when all of a sudden a 'cloud' moved in over Venetia, and was hitting the city with lightening!!
Has anyone else ever seen that?

I vaguely remember that happening in RTW 1.0 and/or 1.2. Got a pic? This sounds very interesting.

I wish I had had the presence of mind to snap a screenshot of it, but it happened so fast I didn't know what was happening. At first, I thought: "What the heck did I do to the strat map!? It has a big cloud of smoke on it now." Then all of a sudden lightening flashed out of it and hit Venetia.....people screaming, lights went out, smoke and fire rising from the city......just kidding.

It might be some kind of event like the eruption of Etna or something. I've never seen such a thing before. I'll try an AI campaign and see if it happens anywhere...

Apparently, that's a storm disaster, not a flood, which is supposed to be broken with 1.5/1.6... weird!

Well, I've been playing RS2 with alex and I've not seen that lol, but yeah. It is a storm disaster. They were deffo in vanilla.

Medieval 2 got a load of these event things. I read somewhere that there is even a greek mythology reference in there somewhere that was put in as a joke by the devs at CA (obviously never used in the game, jsut in the files somewhere).
