Don't realy know where to post this.

China is rising, the are supplying North Korea. If they didn't the would fall very soon.
America has unleashed the financial crisis. And so on with world events.

But in time will their be a country that will rise and grow with power that it will dominate the earth ?
You have to think very far in the future.
That country would dominate on political,military,corrupting high men in goverment of other countries to hold them in control, that no one can give criticism on them.

Or will we be united in time under on flag and one goverment ?

The issue is two fold, ability, and desire.

China likly desires to control the world, but it lacks a government capable of controlling large populations. A state of the unwilling will never last more than a few decades. I predict an economic collapse or famine will be the end of the PRC.

America has the ability, its institutions are suited to creating willing citizens out of immigrants and conquered subjects. However it lacks the desire, outside of a few enlightened individuals, most of the population of America and its protectorates lack any conception of a good empire. They only consent to imperialist aims when presented as a national security issue, case in point, Iraq.

Eventually as human civilization evolves, one nation will unify the globe, or the human race will go extinct, either because it lacks the unity to respond to an external threat, such as an asteroid impact or environmental change. or because it self destructs in a nuclear war.

So, the issue will be, which nation achieves both the desire to rule the world, and the institutions necessary to govern it.

I'm no expert on China, but I do know they have a huge population that their government is quite capable of controlling, and economic collapse? China seems to have one of the most burgeoning economies today. The famine thing makes me think more of N. Korea.

Historically Chinese governments have been overthrown by popular revolt in times of economic instability. Extremely populous nations tend to have this problem.

And no country can boom the way china is forever. There is going to be a recession down the road, and while that may not be the end, eventually you are going to have something happen that weakens the government to such an extent that the people will break free.

I would add that an overextended china will be even more fragile so if it does expand, that would do it more harm than good.
