    Default Law Buildings and Corruption

    Hello guys,

I am not sure if this is the correct behaviour, but I have noticed buildings which increase public order via a law bonus, also increase corruption expenses.

Not sure if this is the right behaviour -although one could justify it eg corrupted law system-, but I would expect somewhat opposite behavior.

In short I would expect economic boosting buildings to increase corruption and law boosting buildings to decrease corruption.

    What's your thoughts on this?

    Thanks,
    Mysh

i always build law buildings.. for me they don't help a lot, but when i have money i build..they decrease corruption.. but the best way to decrease corruption is to put ur capital at the center of your empire and put good administrators in the cities which(am i right?) have high corruption.. since you do not spend money doing this.. for example.. with gondor, when my capital was minas tirith i had a + 1600 per turn economy and when i changed it to tarnost my income changed to + 3500 per turn. And give more attention to economy boosting buildings, build roads and build farms since the trade in TATW is very poor because in long term, farms will increase your population and give you a higher income!

Theoretically that should work but even putting good administrators in my cities doesnt seem to work (They dont have negative corruption traits either). The more money i make, the more corruption seems to go up. I dont remember it being like this in vanilla so i suppose corruption is meant to be very high to avoid you being able to amass a ton of gold.

    Yes. This is very true.

Playing as Gondor and moving the capital to Tarnost (yes, wtf is this place ) saves you 1400 gold right from turn 0!

I don't know if this is something the designers of this TWTA have noticed...

I can't imagine how much money you save in the first 50 turns!

Corruption says is linked with the distance betwteen the province and the capital. Do you know if an improved road link diminishes this distance?

This is what I thought as well... apparently they increase it. They only have a positive effect on public order.

    For me they reduce it..

Are you sure it doesn't actually decrease it but you think it's increasing?

When the icons in settlement details are flashing it means the value will become lower once one of the buildings in the queue is completed.

I always wondered what that meant. Thanks.

That's weird. I need to screenshot it.

BTW when I mean increase, before build a new law boosting building, check the fading in and out effects from the details menu. Over there I see corruption expenses go up...

IIRC Generals who enter adulthood in a city with some law buildings can gain positive traits.

Hmmmm... but have a look at this.

When I click on the law boosting building corruption gets up! At least the graph shows an increase! I think this is definitely bugged.

Thank you for the help, now I will know not to believe the buidling previews!

PS Sorry I had work in the morning.

I don't see the problem. It adds 5% to law (the head), 5% to health (the hearth), the bonus to health leads to population boom (the baby)

No. If the hand is flashing it means it will dissapear.
