The new leader must end the turn in the original faction capital and must have 1 ancillary slot available. If you've moved your capital you have to send him to the original one.

...depends on what crown you want...yours or your rival....

Capture the enemy capitol, then plant your King there. Then send out your assassins or military to take out the enemy King. The next turn, your king will obtain his crown

Right now, I got the Norwegian crown + the Danish crown.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Sure you can, just dump one of the eight retinues off on a General or an heir and then pick up your crown.

It's just a piece of metall, but countrys who loose their crown will have major internal turmoil. Try to add this with excommunication.

I think that when your king is in your ancestral capitol he gets the 'at the seat of power' trait.

That paticular settlement is also written like THIS. LONDON, FRANCE and ROME.

Just grab the symbol of a retinue you want to give away with mouse cursor and drag it over the portrait of other general.

But remember that if you take more than one title from general he will gain "Title stolen" trait which decreases loyalty (of course it won't gonna happen if it is the King himself but be careful with others).

You can safely transfer titles to and from your heir without a loss of loyalty. So you can use your heir as a "title-holder" until you decide who to give what title to.

No prob. I didn't know it myself for a while until I read it in the Guide. But yes, kings and faction heirs do not gain or lose loyalty with the gain or loss of titles. I often use my heirs as placeholders when transferring titles from one general to another.
