    Default A Submodder's Rights

I want a clearer explanation of my rights as a TWC member.

There is a certain mod which does not want submods made, even if it is just a readjustment of their AOR system to suit personal preferences.

Who has the law on their side in this matter? I can understand the mod team should have control over their own subforum and be able to close submod threads. But is there anything wrong with the intrepid submodder posting in the TWC downloads section?

Who has the last say in this matter:
    • The mod team which wishes to suppress submods?
    • The submodder, trying to post an easier, less restrictive variant of the AOR?

    Default Re: A Submodder's Rights

Submods by definition are other people's mods, with some tweaks. Being in their greatest part the work of the original creator, that original creator has every right to dictate the terms of use for his product, as long as the submod is not intended for personal use.

Therefore intrepid submodders would find their submods deleted and themselves severely infracted or banned, if they ignored the requests of the original creators and used TWC to distribute a mod that is mainly someone else's work without permission.
