Well here it is, lately iv been getting kinda bored of TATW having played through it countless times. So heres an idea i had to see who rocks the most take whatever faction you choose and playing on VH VH try to claim domination over all Middle Earth the quickest. Play with no cheats whatsoever using a clean version of TATW 1.1 with A submod of your choice (RR/RC, RR/RC Lore Edition, DAC, Vanilla) There will be diffrent times or diffrent mods so say which one youv used whenyou post your times. If you want to take part post a screen of the turn you take the last settlment showing the turn number and mini map

Obviously you dont have to take the two untakable settlments.

Good luck, il keep the leader on 1st page so everyone knows what they need to beat if they want to give it a go

Sounds OK, but the first screen shot won't really prove anything. I have my ideas about the best factions, but it's interesting trying to consider which one would take the map the quickest. I think I would be down to 1 of the good factions and either of 2 evil factions on initial consideration.

That's right. If I remember correctly there is a tool called save game extractor or something like that and you can ask the winner to upload his last save game and check the difficulty level and other parametrs.

You could just take a screen of VH/VH settings and then before starting a campaign lower it down and no one knows, you dont need any tools .

Aye all factions have their pros and cons, for instance if you wanted a good side you might say "well gondor are the biggest so il start with them" but yes they are the biggest but also in a very difficult position, Eriador might even be a better choice than them, the Elves may work but every battle would be extremly hard, the Dwarves are IMO the best choice for the good side to take over the world as their starting position is strong but also close enough to the action. The evil side is a completly diffrent story however , i think it would be fair to say you could do it with any evil side.

Honestly, I think you are setting the requirements a bit too high. Not very many people at all play the game until every territory is conquered; it just is not very much fun after you have taken out your major enemies. I think you should make it winning a Short Campaign instead; otherwise you will have maybe one or two people submit their results.

Actually after rethinking, just state what sub mods youv used when you post your um score il put diffrent times for diffrent sub mods.

oooooooo, i think for the most part we can trust people to cheat though that would be kooool. Remember if you cheat your only cheating yourself .

I... didn't say anything at all about ability. It is simply a matter of entertainment; games are played for the fun of it, and many people have agreed that the game is not very amusing after destroying most of the main enemies. I can beat the game if I want to, I have beaten my main enemies several times and simply gotten bored with it. The game just isn't made for complete domination, even though it is possible; it just isn't fun.

Imagine the corruption if you conquered the world. I mean on a High Elves one with just 15 or so territories I already lose 10k or so to corruption. If you take the whole map...
