    Default My computer specs

I have a Geforce 9800 GT gfx card.
    2.00 GB of ram.'
and a AMD Anthon 64 processor 38.00+2.39 GH

On big battles my computer lags pretty bad.I have my graphics setting on all pretty hi but not all the way.
Is this normal or if not is there anything I can do that will make it run smoother without upgradeing? I don't know much about computers but it seams like my computer should run this game a little better. But then again I don't know for sure.

Hmm I thought M2 didn't use multiple cores anyway... I find performance varies with map type and amount of soldiers and I have a hard time believeing that this does not apply to every current system.

It looks like your system is fine but that's my taste. The performance you are happy with is your own business...

If it's any help I find shadows are the biggest resource hog. I set mine to medium or low.

Also I hate the 'bloom' effect in M2tw so I think I gain some fps from dropping that.

Plus I noticed some real bad drops and not much benefit when using higher than x2 AA.

    Everything else is normally top.

My gfx card is a tiny bit worse than yours and my processor is about the same.

    So that's about it.

Oh yeah and I've found this excellent tip for making the unplayable 10000+ men battles playable, just slow down time and the slide show begins to look like a movie again... although a bit too Jon Woo at times.

I think you just hold shift when adjusting game speed on the ui to effect changes in smaller increments.

Your not alone. I also get a little lag but I figure its the game and my max settings, not my computer. My computer is about 3 months old, I bought near top of the line everything not quite $3,000.

AMD Phenom II quad core 3.0 ghz each, oc's up to 5.0 each
    8 gigs of ddr3/1600 ram
2 gigs ddr3 video ram using 2 GTX 280's in SL mode (thats 480 processing cores)

Do you do your battles non stop or do you pause it? I pause a lot to micro manage, less realistic I guess but also less twitchy and seems to help with the lag.

I see good to know im not alone.

Morty I pause a lot!! like when my main line gets close to the enemy. And I half to have 4 5 or 6 infantry charge at once at the same time.

Im gunna try all the tips that Taiji said to do.

I have had ctd problems im trying to fix. and still new to this mod stuff and computers all together. I may wait till 6.2 till I give it a wirl.
