    Default Loading screen freeze

Okay, I have had M2TW for a while and played it on a laptop that was able to run it at low settings. I decided to play it on my more powerful desktop (Windows XP, 2 GB Ram, 256 mb graphics memory). So first, i take it (I have my games on a portable HD) and plug it in, and try to play it right away. It begins the start up process, nvidia ad and such. Problem is, it reaches the loading screen between the movies and the main menu and freezes, making me restart my computer. I have tried deleting it, reinstalling, updating (dx9, video..etc) and i still reach this point and it will freeze. I have let it sit for half an hour to an hour with no change, other than the hour glass spastically rotating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have your games on a portable hard drive, where do the registry entries go? Laptop or Desktop?

What are your desktop's specs and what resolution are you trying to play?
What programs do you have installed on your desktop and removable harddrives besides XP and Medieval2?

What I see is a weak system. Celeron processors are not made for gaming even though yours has the speed. The GeForce 6200 is actually belos minimum but youmay gat a few turns out of it before it overheats.

Your real killer is the copy protection Battlefield uses. This copy protection under these cicumstances will not let the two coexist.

Your best chance is to conact Securom with the whole list and ask for a medieval2.exe that will let you play both. If they say "No" or just choose to ignore you, we cannot help you.

Sadly some people have been unable to play the game for 2 weeks now since just a couple of days after 1.3 was released.

We have been told it's a sound issue or something to do with your RAID array, neither solution has worked for me nor many others. CA have promised a Hot Fix but that is cold (sic) comfort.

This thread is all about the freeze at start up.

    It's a disgrace.
