Blue Skies Mod (no weather)

I noticed a bunch of threads asking for a way to turn off weather effects when searching for such a setting myself, but found no one knew how to do it. So I created a mod that hacks out all the weather effects, leaving the occasional bit of haze, but never any rain, snow, dust etc. After a few hours of playtesting this appears to be so, anyhow.

For the curious, the third column in db/battle_climate_weather_descriptions_tables/battle_climate_weather_descriptions appears to be "percent chance this weather occurs", and so I just set the value to 100 for all dry effects, and 0 for everything else.

Note: I have not yet figured out how to kill off the weather in sea battles.

Does this then actually also increase performance ?

My computer is sufficiently fast that I haven't noticed, but then I'm CPU bound.

It should do, especially if you have a low powered rig

Big big thanks!!! these bad weather battles makes me low and my neck sore from sitting with my face 5 cm from the monitor =) thanks again hehe.

This mod needs a new campaign to take effect or I may add it to the present one?

I cant test it in my mobil phone, lol , I m at work. But I m tired of this rain , I see nothing. Good mod idea.

That was the original idea. Yes, weather is terribly realistic. It's also irritating at times, and I don't want perfect realism anyway. I want fun. Rain is not fun.

Works like I want ,some fog ,some dark days, but not stormy rain. ...better...any rain.

I toyed around and changed some values, so I still have fog and stuff, but no rain and snow.

Is there any value that could remove winter-maps from the game? ( all battles fought in the summertime? )

Was anyone able to do this? I want to severely lessen how often snow battles happen. I don't care if it is snowing, I just don't like the appearance of snow on the ground and want ot make it rare. Can anyone give me some advice here? Thanks.

that would be sweet if we could. the tall white grass looks awful.
