Im not an expert but maybe you dont have good specs. Check this site and tell me what the results are. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Just click print screen and open paint and press paste. Then save as and upload it on some website. To post on the forums all you have to do is put [img][/img] in between your url (url where it shows only the image you took.

First of all if you bought the Gold edition then you won't need patch 1.3. Secondly, can you tell us what video card you have? This doesn't sound like a card issue to me but it could be.

Next, have you tried to modify any of the files in your Medieval 2 folder?

Lastly have you installed any patches at all? If you did install 1.3 then you may have screwed it unintentionally. If you did the full install of the Gold edition (i.e. M2 followed by Kingdoms) then it should automatically be patched to 1.3 on an XP machine. The ONLY patch you should need is a patch for kingdoms to update to 1.5. Important note: you must get the Gold version of the patch and remember that the patch is region specific(i.e. U.S. for N. America, EU patch for Europe etc.)

Otherwise check out the tech forums for M2 and see if you can find any help there. Good luck.

I was wrong. This is a video card issue. The issue is that you don't have one - just a video chip built into your motherboard. Looks like this was used in Pentium 4 and Celeron D. This game is a bit too advanced for that to work. What options do you have to get a new card? Is this the family computer or your own for personal use? Is it a desktop or laptop?

Otherwise sorry but its never going to work as it stands.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. You might have to upgrade your computer to play some of the newer games.

you can get a video card that can run m2tw well for less than $50 just find a 6600 or a 7600gt they will be dirt cheap and you can play it. Don't return mt2w you'll be missing out on a very fun game. Your pc hopefully has a pci-e slot.

Download this the installer one and run it and tell us what motherboard you have i can look it up and see if you can get a video card.
