    Default The Commonwealth, anyone?

I know this may seem random and somewhat out of the blue but what is the Commonwealth up to lately? I mean I rarely hear about it and it seems a bit dead to me, a bit like a dead mod really, so i was wondering what the hell happened?

Of course this is probably a quite ignorant view due to my own lack of information but hey at least someone will inform us all here. It's a win-win situation.

I'm working on Commonwealth Conquest 1.2 with better AI and trade functions. I'm not extending the map to Zimbabwe, though, cos they're just troublemakers.

The Commonwealth was always hampered by the shadow of Empire, that rather than giving a sense of community just ended up a social club for Ex-Empire members, or so it seemed to me.

You need the Commonwealth website to keep abreast of new developments. I generally check it once or twice a week.

The Jewel in the crown of the Empire ? That would be India then, I thought you were American ?

Besides GDP means nothing in the Commonwealth, it is'nt an economic union.

Still, loyal subjects like your Grandfather's grandfather are to be thanked for their contribution.

bahh... he was the last of my current family to wonder over the pond. The rest had been here since the 1600's. And enough were actually native.

Although after my 3rd(?) Cousin, err my grandfather's cousin passed away last month, the family's spot as a son of cinncinatus opened up, which is a society of ancestors of Washington's officers, a legacy I'm pretty proud of.

Indeed. An economic union with the commonwealth would be most welcome.
According to the Theory of War, which teaches that the best way to avoid the inconvenience of war is to pursue it away from your own country, it is more sensible for us to fight our notorious enemy in his own realm, with the joint power of our allies, than it is to wait for him at our own doors.

    Lol, cheers Yorkshireman.

It's kinda depressing the Commonwealth being wasted when it had such potential. I mean sure it does all those meetings and the like, as shown by the website, but it could have been more.

    lol.

The Francophonie is a poor imitation of an institution that's not that strong itself.
