Faction colors

I wanted to change Hungaries faction colors to the red and green of their current flag. So naturally, I went into descr_sm_factions, and changed the color values to:

red 206, green 17, blue 38
red 0, green 136, blue 81

But the colors are exactly the same when I start the game. The file does not re-write itself or anything, I check it after every time. I'm sure someone has had success with this.

Are you using io.file_first ?
with a text editor add the following to the top of medieval2.preference this file is read only so remove this attribute make your changes and make sure you reenable it or the game will set it back to its default setting.
