    Default Armory?

Is there any point in wasting money upgrading the armory in your settlements as most units can’t be upgraded?

In the 1.2 patch most units will get non-visible armour upgrades.

Good to hear that! But what do you mean when you say non-visible?

armorers will give armor bonuses in the next patch, but not visual updates. Though I would like to have visual updates, too, this would just be too much work and we rather concentrate on new units.
However, some visual upgrades may follow for a few units...

The unit will simply receive an increased armour value but there will be no visual indication, no new armour texture.

No chevrons because those represent experience but there should be a small shield icon in the lower right corner (iirc) representing upgraded armour. Of course you'll be able to simply notice that your units' armour value has gone up.

Further, and most importantly, you will be able to notice because they die less quickly

(Edit: Assuming, of course, that there are not Ologs present. Then adamantium and lightsabers still won't matter)

the only time i build them is if i have money to use as toilet paper and settlements with nothing else to build. then when you are short for cash you can burn them and gain some money back instantly to help build an army or buy that big upgrade.

And they can supply generals with fancy armour. Which is transferable for Gondor generals.

I usually not building armories, just because the number of the units that gets upgrade is so small and it's cost is too high. I use the money on more usfull things .

Will a list be provided of those units affected by armor upgrades, otherwise it will be a guessing game. I don't want to spend the money on the buildings on a hunch, right?
