Is there life in the universe except us?
Yes
No
Im confused, whats Extraterrestrial life mean?
Is there life in the universe except us?
Yes, most likely.
And yes this should be in the Atheanium.
Though i guess i mihgt be able to se how another speices may effect our religion and philosophy...
I wanna lie, lie to myself, myself and someone else. Cause its the lying that hurts, and its the hurt that lets me know Im alive.
Isnt this philosophy? Thats why i posted it here.
Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, truth, beauty, law, justice, validity, mind, and language.

Oh yeah i think so too. Of course there might be life.
Is there any reason why there wouldn't be? It's happened at least once it can happen again easily enough.

'Infinate' just means "can't count all of them". As to life on other planets... maybe, maybe not. I'd imagine many things that are, exist in spite of tremendous odds against them.
So yeah, I don't know![]()
On T.V (National Geographic T.V) Many people said in there opinions that there cannot be any life in the universe except us, so i wanted to see if there are some of those people also in this forum.
Life on earth is kind of the only fact we have in this discussion but shouldn't that indicate the possibility of life in the universe?

I think there is not on the planets around us but in other solar systems I think there are.

Their is life, I am sure of it, I even think when you die you maybe be born on a other planet like a alien. Yeah!

I sometimes miss this place you know. This is where my journey began.
I think the debates is really more "Is their intelligent life like ourselves in this galaxy." You really need some idea as to how big the universe is if you say no this question though.

Interesting side note, although I can't see any real relevance in it myself, the Drake equation:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation
Edit: I especially like the criticism found on Wiki:
"The Drake equation consists of a large number of probabilities multiplied together. Since each factor is guaranteed to be somewhere between 0 and 1, the result is also guaranteed to be a reasonable-looking number between 0 and 1. Unfortunately, all the probabilities are completely unknown, making the result worse than useless."
Made me chuckle. Still, it's an interesting theory/equation.

It's possible, though the conditions for life like on Earth are quite specific but that doesn't mean it didn't happen anywhere else or that possible it came into existence entirely different.
Will we ever meet them? That's less likely, even leaving the solar system is already incredibly difficult, not too mention very slow.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
If they're more advanced than us they could easily some super sci-fi technology for getting around the place.
There sure is. Having all that vast space and nothing lives in it?

"We're nice mainly because we're rich and comfortable."
You can mess around with the Drake equation but the results vary wildly depending on your opinion of how likely things would or wouldn't be, it would work fine otherwise.

Yeah, I know, I felt my post needed some edits to clarify a little.
The interesting about the equation, in my opinion, is the discussion about the parameters themselves, not their value.
