    Default Visibility In All Mordor

    Compatible with patch 1.1

    Hello everyone , Me and abbews were working together lately to make this sub-mod.

    Team: Skeleton Of The West, abbews.


    -made by abbews

    We added 23 new watchtowers in Mordor's regions, to simulate Sauron's eye in the movies and to show that Mordor was full of orcs and orc camps which gives the faction full vision in Mordor.

    We also added 11 new forts in Mordor's regions in tactical places and to give th feeling again that in Mordor there a lot of orcs camps which doesnt count like a city or something, just a little outpost.

    There are 3 downloadable versions:
    1. For TATW vanilla version 1.1
    2. Compatible RC/RR Lore recruitment update June 15
    3. Compatible Visual Enhancement

    Installation instructions:

    Dont forget to backup your descr_strat/txt file. It is located in:
    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

    Just extract the file into this path:
    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign and when it ask to overwrite the file choose yes.

    For advanced users:

    This sub-mod changes descr_strat.txt file. If you are allready using this file for another mod which doesnt have a compatible verison, or mixing some mods together, here is the code:

    All you have to do is this:
    1. Search (Ctrl+F) for those lines:
    ;watchtower 209 56
    ;

    2. Delete all the lines lower than:
    ;watchtower 209 56
    ;

    until you reach these lines (dont delete those):
    script
    campaign_script.txt

    3. Copy the code in the spoiler and paste it between those lines:
    ;watchtower 209 56
    ;

    and:
    script
    campaign_script.txt

    is there a possibility to make the watchtowers transparent on the map i donīt like the cluttering of the landscape?

    Well, going by both lore and the movie the landscape should be even more cluttered...

    I was thinking... is it possible to make Mordors minor city, like "orcs camp", to look on battle map just like fort?
    It could look more orcish-style than this pretty medival cities.

    It is not possible because settlements ment to have houses to it's population, and in forts there is none. Settlements ment to be bigger than forts. You can consider them as a big outpost of orcs .

    Yeach... big outpost... with stone buildings...paved plaza...and nice orcish fountain. I dont' get it - why they invaded Gondor if they lived in such a nice places? J/K

    So it's look like we have to wait for customized settlements
