I'm trying to go to bed, but I'm having trouble. I look over, and I see an inch long piece of brown thread - except the thread it moving. I jump up and turn on my light, it's reddish-brown, and wriggling around, it had two small antennae or feelers on its head, and either a lot of segments or many legs or both. I grabbed it in a tissue and flushed it.
Now, does that sound like some parasite? (a quick glance through human parasites on wikipedia revealed nothing that looked like it). I've had a centipede or two make its way into my room where the gap of my AC unit in my window is, but this was much smaller and worm-like. I'm clean, and I don't eat undercooked pork or fish or anything. I would have felt the thing crawling on me, I hope. It's just that it was on my bed...
Am I doomed or was this just a bug that made its way into my bed? It was very thin, so it wasn't a bedbug...
