migrating from ib 1

hi guys.
First of all thank you very much for your efforts. You've made a lover of late roman things very happy! Years ago i bought rtw and downloaded ib without even playing once with the vanilla version. Now i've just bought mtw2 with the same intention.
My question is whether there was a thread explaining the differences btw the 2 games.

I will give you a brief explanation and maybe the fans can elaborate. The current IB2 is still a beta, certainly very playable but a work in progress. Right now the map covers Iberia, southern gaul, italy and north africa. There are a limited number of factions in the campaign mode and in custom battles. We have concentrated on the invasion of northern africa by the vandals. The game is 6 turns per year or 1 turn = 2 months. Ramon is working in the background right now and Rio and I are working on models, unit textures, building requirements and a host of other things. We have currently released 2 patches and are working on a 3rd patch that may or may not bring the mod to version 1.0. There are further discussions on expanding the map north or west. We had to limit the scope for now because of the shear amount of work involved.

The progress thread will give you an idea of what is coming next. Hope you enjoy yourself.

Um.... surely you meant East right Midnite?

Are we going to see Vandals in the new world?
