There, depatched, now I can finally do something.
lol XD, i got nothing better to do but check on this thread every 10 minutes.

by model viewer do you mean the dressing room?

I'm not refering to the ingame "dress room" but to the program that lets you have all characters dressed with every item in the game, even some only usable by npc's, so I think it is perfect to plan unit appearances loyal to warcraft lore.

well just search in the web wow model viewer, should appear first. Anyway beware because of the WoW version 3.2.0, it breaks the model viewer, I had to depatch to 3.0 just to use it. Right now I'm planning the Dwarven Faction.

The Horde has only one province? What about the lands of the Tauren, and the islands of the trolls? And the Barrens? It looks like they only have Durotar.

Remember that the game is set in the beginning of Warcraft 3, and as such the Horde had no territory (only the Dark Horde and even those were half nomads). So instead of not implementing the Horde (which would be a crime) we just give them Durotar, to make it seem as if they had only just arrived there. I know that for those WoW players who scream FOR THE HORDE all the time it may suck, but otherwise it wouldn't be very realistic. This is the same situation as with Theramore. They will also begin with just one province.

now a person who plays WoW without playing Warcraft 3 might think that, but when the orcs landed in Kalimdor the tauren lived in the durotar region, the echo isles hasnt been founded yet, and durotar was part of the barrens untill Thrall called it... well Durotar.

Oke. But you won't include the Tauren then? 'Cause they already travelled across Kalimdor, and they didn't really arrive wth the Horde on Kalimdor. And it might prove very unbalanced, or do you have that stitched out?
Btw I have played Warcraft 3 and I'm a huge fan of the lore, and hate what Wow did to it.

Btw I have played Warcraft 3 and I'm a huge fan of the lore, and hate what Wow did to it.
The Tauren are going to be part of the horde faction since Cairn and his tauren allied with the horde almost as soon as they arrived (if you remember the first mission of the horde campaign in Warcraft 3). Though there are other tauren groups none of them were really significant. Perhaps we will represent them as mercenaries.

Yeah, Blizzard really messed around with the lore with WoW. Lorewise for WTW were doing the best we can to string together the Warcraft 3 and WoW lore for events and such.

EDIT: Lol, you beat me to responding . MommaG, maybe you could put the unit list under a spoiler so it dosen't take up so much room.

The list looks great. Although wouln't want to fight the Burning Legion, 18 hp for a Pitlord is quite much, especially since a wrathguard has 3 hp. I'm playing Third AGe total War and the trolls are totally crap because of their high hp:| But if it's only one man, it might work..

Yeah pitlords are going to be individuals, and units like wrath guard in small groups. Also all burning legion units are going to be expensive to balance out the fact that they are very powerful.

Cool. I'm really excited about this mod. Btw, I saw in the unit roster among others an 'alive' Sylvanas and an undead Sylvanas. Is that just a trigger when the Scourge destroys Quel'Thalas, or can you literally turn any killed enemy hero to undead? Don't know if that's possible though..I'm not really into the medieval 2 codes. And what was the trigger again for Arthas to turn evil?
