Default One thing Scot nobles don't seem to do...

Is have uh "relations" with their spouse! haha I had a campaign tragically end or near end after about 40 years due to the Scot's lack of ability to reproduce!

The king is still alive and is in his 80s and has one foot in grave

The heir Tanaiste Alexandair, now in his 60s and past middle age, married the Flemish princess Olga in the 2nd turn of the campaign. She had both robust and fair traits yet only produced one daughter who is now married, but more on this in a minute.

Seumus married a little late but his wife was 19 when they married and had the robust quality. No kids and he's in his 50s

The first princess had fertile, passionate and fair traits, married when she was 14. The tragedy of this is that she had a son but the very next turn, I got the dreaded CTD and restarted from the turn before as I save about every 2 turns. That was 10 years ago and no sniff of any kids since. With her in her approaching 40, don't know if any kids will occur.

The last princess married and had the insatiable trait and fertility and was an 8 star. She married a noble who was running York. 4 years into their marriage, England attacked with a full stack. Though her husband fought valiantly, he was killed.

Finally the only child to have been born to this whole miserable line was a daughter to the faction heir. She was a 7* at 12 years old (using Furin's changes). She promptly went down to London and stole a family member in retaliation to England attacking York. He exits London and promptly gets the gravely ill trait and cannot move for 3 turns. The 4th turn brings a funeral.

The worse thing is that Scotland was in pretty good shape in every other area. Oh well. C'est la guerre!

Whats the size of your kingdom?

Births occurs when you have more provinces than family members/generals i think (well maybe its not a 1:1 ratio but thats the idea), so if you turtle and you capture a character with your princess, its almost normal you dont get any child.

I dont like this, but that's how the game works I think, and in a way it is necessary to not have 20 family members to pay for in a 3 provinces kingdom...

The only way for me to get a normal family tree is to expand constantly, slowly but at a steady rate...
