Fearless. Released in 1993. Directed by Peter Weir.

Gonna stab in the dark on this one.

Who has seen this movie? 1993 is going back, especially for your average internet forum. I still remember not being able to see Jurassic Park in theater's because my Mom wouldn't let me.

Along with Schindler's List, Philadelphia, Jurassic Park, The Fugitive, The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Year of Holly Hunter...

This movie came out. Starring Jeff Bridges and Rosie Perez (who was nominated for best supporting actress.)

A powerful movie, dealing with guilt, grief and intense human emotion. A story of faith and love. Also a story of heartbreak and overcoming.

There is a major airplane crash, and Jeff Bridges' character, Max, walks out of the crash, barely hurt and leading a young boy and infant to safety. As well as leading many other people off the plane, into the light of day and safety. Max copes with his new found perspective on life, and the changes around him. He ultimately becomes the most important person in Rosie Perez's character, Carla, as he helps her overcome her guilt and grief. But at the same time, healing himself.

It was on CBC tonight, and I watched it in amazement. Wanting to go to sleep, but at the same time, refusing to remove myself from the television. I should say, I strongly recommend this film. It stood in the shadow of Schindler's List and Philadelphia. And personally, I think it is just as powerful as both of those films.
