    Default A question about textures

    Wow! Let me just start off by saying that this a fantastic mod! I love playing this!

    Now to my question...

    I was playing last night, and Mordor was laying seige to Minas Tirith (I was Gondor). I thought it would be neat if I could make it like the books and have the Rohirim show up and help save the day. Not being able to control the Riders of Rohan...I decided the make an army by using the create_unit feature. It worked great....except....when I got to the battle, the Rohirim had no textures. They looked like just silver models riding horses. So I played around and tested a little. I found out that other faction units will show up like this if you try to get them in your army. (For example if you want to fight at the Black gate with a mixed army or defend Dale with Dwarves and Humans)

    So what I'm asking is;

    Is there a way to make it so that the textures will show up on these units if I do this again? If so, can you direct me to the file that needs code added?

    Yes there is a way to fix this. You must edit battle_models.modeldb. If you don't know how to edit this file then you need to look at a tutorial.

    The number above "8 scotland" is basicly the number of factions that can use this model. You don't have to make a new entry, just change that number and add the next faction that you want to use.

    don't add another one, just replace the old one
