    Default Am I doomed?

Well, I am playing as the Silvan Elves; my first target was the Orcs of the Misty Mountains. I managed to take them out by turn 65 or so, pretty much leaving everyone else to their own devices. Rohan managed to get Isengard down to 3 settlements, pressing them hard for the last ones but having trouble because of the Garrison Script. Gondor was being hammered by Harad and Mordor, and being left to stand on his own. He was down at about turn 80 to one settlement. I tried to give him one in the mountains just to stop him from dying, but the OotMM somehow took it even though they are dead. (That is a different matter) I took it back and tried several more times with the same results; Gondor still died. I took a couple of stacks down to Isengard and managed to finish them off with almost 75% losses in total. Now Rohan is being left alone by his allies to fight against Mordor and Harad (Dwarves and Dale are killing Rhun without very many problems (3 settlements left) while I build up my economy from -30,000. I'm just about ready to fight again, but I don't know if I will be able to save them.

What do you think will happen if/when Rohan dies?

Note: This is, without a doubt, the most fun I have ever had with a campaign on TW.

Just keep playing. But usually, you do get thrashed when the evil factions are that powerful.

well for a start as soon as you can you need to go and help rohan, to win a war like that youl need to push into what used to be Gondor, 5 settlments are vital against harad and mordor, Tirith anduin, Cair Andros, West and East Osgiliath and Pelagir. at those points you can hold them in the east side of the anduin, then use say an elite stack with your best general to recapture all the settlments that are left on the western side, maybe gifting them to rohan and possibly high elves as they could be usefull if you allow them to build some forces nearer the action (that will take the AI a while however) from there you can push south and east into Mordor and whoop em though expect constant invasions on the 5 settlments i mentioned above (mainly osgiliath)

well.. it depends on how strong u are.. u should post a screenshot of ur map. But u can help them by keeping the orcs away from dundarrow ( i don't know the correct name) and then they won't be attacked from south anymore.. and, with elven help, they can survive. And u should expand ypurself to the south and then mordor will have to fight agains you and rohan! and give military acces to your allies! This is what I would do. Like Arvedui Said if u can take those settlements he said. it would be even better.. but it all depends on the strenght of ur faction! Good luck!!

dont forget linhir (i apologise for spelling mistake, had a few earlier ) but yeah take the border settlements, (but look after yours is priority cos otherwise there is no fight back) and then move back to the west coast and gift rohan the settlements once they are safe, let them build up and then gradualy gift other settlement, but keep cair andros, minas tirith (just cos it looks kl ), west osgiliath and if you are using the forts mini mod, keep the forts! very very very useful if only for delaying the enemy. give rohan the the border settlements (excluding the ones i previously stated) and support as needed but screens would help us give advice - use toggle_fow if you do

Harad and Mordor are moving in from the south. Rhun is about to be killed (by me, the Dwarves, and Dale) in the east. The High Elves are doing nothing in the west. Isengard and OotMM are both dead, along with Gondor.

have the actually died or have they just no regions? HE never doing anything *grubble grubble grubble*

try taking the settlements on the west bank to cut off the settlements that were gondors. then move west and takt the settlements as i suggested earlier, that is what i would do

    good luck!

p.s. let us kno how it goes

Isengard and OotMM have no regions or units left, but have not given the message of death for the reason of the bug. Gondor, on the other hand, gave me the official notice of death. I am planning on this:

    1. Finish off Rhun with the aid of Dwarves and Dale, most likely losing the majority of my army in the process.

    2. Sim for a few turns, letting my florins build back up.

    3. Recruit a full stack or two, moving it southwards in the general direction of Isengard.

    4. Use the men remaining from my first crusade to get Harad and Mordor to move east, if possible. Avoiding conflict whenever possible and using gorilla warfare with my advanced archers.

    5. Attack the (hopefully) weakened settlements that Gondor lost, taking back as many as possible.

    6. Slowly drive Eastward, hopefully with aid from Rohan and whoever is in the area.

    Sound good?

You should have no problem with destroying mordor and isengard playing silvans as long as you have east flank secured (alliance with dale and dwarves trashing rhun). I,ve got the same situation in my campaign and isengard was a piece of cake but conquering rohan regions taken by mordor lasted more than 100 turns (before besieging any of their cities I need to fight back more than 10 full stacks of orcs cause they've got so many recruitment centers). Luckily for me they've always attacking one stack after another and beating any mordor stack without olog-hais with galadhrim army, losing more than 1% of troops, means that you should not call yourself a general . Face it Mordor is really underpowered in battles they are just really OP in autoresolve, which favorises numbers. That's why I.ve never send stacks of soldiers to help gondor just some units of cavalry that approach mordor stacks standing next to gondor stacks and force them to fight on battle map. And suddenly it appeares that gondorians are slaughtering filthy orcs.

take out harad next. continue attacking rhun then move into their flank from there.then take that mordor city from the bak. nurmen or something. use archers to defend it.
