Curious Curialist curing the Curia of all things Curial.
I read through his posting history and had a look at his three articles for the Eagle Standard. While he seems to be interested in contributing to the TWC, I don't think that his contributions are worthy of Citizenship yet. He has only written three articles so far and all of them are relatively short. Not to mention that there are several grammatical errors as well. While he is also a local moderator for GSTK, he seems to spend most of his time there playing the game rather than moderating it.
If he keeps contributing to the ES I might vote for him in the future but it's a no for now.

I'm inclined to vote a yes. His work in the ES has been of a high standard, and I have seen his participation and contribution in the ES forum. I also know of his work in regard to GSTK, and it held in great esteem there. I am leaning towards a yes, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Hm, I don't have much experience with GSTK but from what I've seen he seems to spend considerably more time playing the game than actually moderating or organizing it. On top of that, being a local moderator isn't a noteworthy contribution in itself, unless one moderates a very busy forum and does an exceptional job at that. And to be honest, I don't think the candidate fulfills these criteria yet.
His ES articles aren't bad but he has only written three of them so far and none of them is of a particularly outstanding quality as far as I can tell.
In conclusion, I simply don't think that being a local moderator and writing three average articles is enough.

Three editions of the ES is not enough for citizenship.
Poll added.
I reconsidered.
I will abstain from this one. I play the game a lot and in my mind I am biased towards him. I am confidant that he will get it soon especially with the mod that he is creating based on the story of the rpg.
Not quite there yet, no for me.
This is a bit of a problem for me. As noted, the articles are short, but shorter articles are best for the ES. They do need an edit though.
Is English a first language? I am assuming so since he resides in England, but this could be a factor for the ES writing.
As far as RPG -- he can be both a moderator and a player. The huge number of posts would hide the few moderation/org actions. There are a large number of thread starts -- this suggests an active hand in promotion (whether that be as a player or organizer might be a fine line)
I will lean towards a yes. If he does not become a citizen this time, he will the next.

The Scriptorium is looking for great articles. Don't be bashful, we can help with the formatting and punctuation. I am only a pm away to you becoming a published author within the best archive of articles around.

We count contribution to staff publications as merit for Citizenship, but we ignore the fact that it is a once a month job, about the length of a quality debate post except without the burden of formulating an opinion, and with an average of less than 1,000 views in a month(less than most AARs average). If it weren't officially sanctioned we wouldn't even consider it unless it was like 12 issues and then we'd probably still ask for more if they were 12 issues of the general quality standard we see recently.
To me this notion that official publications like the ES or Helios have some fleeting importance to the ebb and flow of the forum seems to be restricting our view of what the real meat of them is. If we started officially sanctioning AARs to be commissioned then maybe more AAR writers would make it through.
Anyone see where I'm going with this? Maybe we should stop viewing staff publications with any special treatment or quantity statute(6 = citizenship, 12 = citizenship, or what have you), and start viewing them the same way we would view those if they were posts around the forum. If the articles were filling a pressing need and knowledge gap between staff and members then that's one thing, but they're just musings on what goes on in the forums that few enough people bother to read. I say this as someone who has contributed thus far 3 articles to the ES and will likely do more in the future, that I personally wouldn't go counting myself a Citizen on my articles(even if I wrote 12 of them), which I feel are above average.

I agree AL, to much credit (for citizzenship) is given to staff publication writers.
