Default Quick question regarding shortcuts to mods

Hello, I am new to the forums and this is my first post.

Anyways, I was wondering if there is a way to make a mod appear in the starting screen or whatever you call it. For example, when you install Kingdoms the four different campaigns show up in a small list when you click "Play" in the starting screen. I was just wondering if there is a way that you can do this with downloaded mods. If there is it would be appreciated if someone could tell me how. Thank you.

I am assuming you are using the launcher.
Each of these has an entry in the registry to point it to that campaign. Stainless Steel and some other mod when installed do the same thing. To do it manually, there are registry programs out there that are used for it. I just make my own desktop shortcuts to the mod's .bat file and endrun the launcher.

    Welcome to the Forums.

About your question, If you are talking about the Medieval II Launcher Screen then as far as i now, and see, all the mods that i have install for Medieval II and Kingdoms appear in the little list.

Ok, I still don't get it. Is it possible to say, for example, have La Guerre de Cent As - The Hundred Years War appear in the launcher? Becuase when i download it there is only a shortcut and I'd prefer it in the launcher. So if someone could explain this I would be happy. Like explain what file goes where or whatever.

You need to go and set it up in the register.

    1. Press "start button + R" or "start > run".
    2. Write "regedit" and then ok.
    3. click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    4. "ctrl + F" and search for crusades for example, if you came to something called Uninstal, just continue searching,
until you come to " SEGA \ Medieval II total war \ mods \ official \ 0002Crusades " on the left
    5. Look under official if it is a folder/key called Unofficial, if not, right-click mods, and New > key.
    6. Now you will have a new folder name it "Unofficial"
    7. Rightclick unofficial and create folder/key again, name it "0000andyourmodsname"
    8. Get inside the new folder.

Now you will use the screen to the right, where you see something named (standard)
    1. Rightclick anywhere inside it and new "stringvalue", name it Author then rightclick it and edit, then under data write the name of he/she who made the mod.

    2. Rightclick anywhere inside it and new "stringvalue", name it ConfigFile, right-click and edit, go to your modfolder and look at the name of the .cfg file of the mod. Then go back to the registry and write "filename.cfg" under data.

Now you should know what to do, so I'm uploading how Stainless steel looks like, you can use it as a model how to make it.

Ok, i did all that stuff. I am trying to play Invasio Barbarorum and i did all of the steps but then when i go to the launcher there is no name, just a blank space. But that is not the problem. When i click on the blank space it just brings me to the regular vanilla loading screen and then it CTDs. Any help?
